What is Nicotine Salt?
Nicotine salt is a form of nicotine that is considered to be more stable that the conventional free base version. When doing some research on nicotine salt, I have found that compared to its free base brother, nicotine salt requires a higher temperature in order to properly vaporize while the ions don’t travel to the nicotine receptors in your body as easily. In today's vape market, most people will not vape over a 12mg juice, while those vaping a 3mg can easily vape on a 30mg or 50mg. The reason for this is because of Benzoic Acid.
Purposes of Benzoic Acid:
The biggest difference between free base nicotine and nicotine salt is the harshness that comes with it. Free base nicotine has a higher pH, which can make it feel like a harsher hit than its nicotine salt counterpart.
MLV can not stress the importance of using the proper device with higher nicotine salt juices. A couple of our favorites are the Aspire Breeze 2 and the Smok Rolo Badge kit, however you can check out all the other devices in the hardware section.
